Kasane Teto is getting a SynthV AI database this month

Updated: Mar 2

Have you seen the videos on YouTube of people trying to make other SynthV voicebanks sound like Kasane Teto? Well, there's a better solution coming soon...

Kasane Teto was originally a voicebank for the singing synthesizer program UTAU. She was released as an April Fool's "new VOCALOID" prank in 2008. SynthV is a singing synthesizer by Dreamtonics (with many more features than UTAU). According to the official Kasane Teto website, Kasane Teto's AI voicebank is scheduled to be on sale April 27, 2023 for her 15th anniversary. This new voicebank will be based on the voice of Koyama Maiyo (who was Teto's original voice actor).

Teto even has a new design!

Her voice sounds completely different than her UTAU voicebank too. On the official YouTube channel, there are demo songs in four styles: Joyful, Cute, Power and Mellow. In my opinion, she sounds a little bit like Root from SutoPuri in the Joyful singing style (I'm not really a fan of SutoPuri, I just happened to listen to four songs sung by them). Teto just sings like an utaite~. The Power singing style sounds the most like the original Teto in UTAU, but way more realistic. The Cute style gives a whole different feel too!

You can pre-order the voicebank here. The normal voicebank is ¥10,780, which is $81.84 according to Google.
